Style Tip: Summer dressing is all about how little you can wear and still look pulled together-- so keep your eye on the ball and think about the 4 'S's-- shirt, shorts, shoes, sunglasses.  I really love pulling a freshly washed dress shirt out of the dryer and wearing it with a pair of chopped-off shorts, and a dress shoe (loafer, Stubbs & Wootton slipper, moccasin) and a great pair of sunglasses (Randolph Engineering makes the best). You don't even really need a belt, and you definitely don't need an iron.  Oh and a great watch always helps-- but that doesn't begin with "S."

In the middle of our exclusive photo shoot withValentino PR genius Carlos Souza, he moves some of his most precious possessions — a meditation shrine of fresh flowers, powerful crystals, and photos of his two sons — to the floor to help arrange a shot. The small vase with the peonies spills and water floods the home photos and the carpet. "That shot's done!" he exclaims, "We move on!" I am in LOVE with Stubbs and Wootton. No they are not two men, they are shoes.  I mean what girl is not obsessed with shoes? These were the clothes of luxurious men, unafraid to draw attention without violating good taste.

The first time I met Katie Ermilio, she greeted me with such spunk and I was blown away by her tailoring and craftmanship. It's very rare to see a young designer with such a fine tuned aesthetic. I was instantly drawn in. I love her dresses and collection — it is modern, classic, and retro all at the same time.

Michael Bastian is to be blamed for my current obsession with cargo pants. I never cared much for them until he showed them in his very first collection, spring 2007. Make no mistake, these were not the baggy, khaki versions that the Gap sold in the '90s. Michael Bastian's were in a pale gray color and what made them current was that he cut them in a slim shape and paired them with a blazer. Who knew that the humble cargo pants can be elevated from their working class roots to a smart casual aesthetic? Such a simple but genius idea. Now everyone is doing it.

He's one of San Francisco's more flamboyant showmen, always ready to mug for a photo in a dashing tuxedo, a wide grin, a thumbs-up gesture and signature stylish eyeglasses.

Ladies, slippers are not just for men, elderly women or reserved solely for the house anymore. The flat footwear is luxury — a throw back, if you will, to the days of smoking jackets and fancy dinner parties. And although they may seem dated to those trend worshipers whose platforms and combat boots are permanently affixed to their feet, we think slippers are unbelievably chic.
